Position Overview
Salary range is for candidates based in the New York City Metropolitan area. Outside of the NYC metro, we differentiate salaries based on location.
It is customary for entry-level candidates to join Women’s World Banking at the lower half of the range to leave room for candidates to grow, expand, and develop in the role. It is common for starting salaries to fall in the mid-point of the range for more experienced candidates. We negotiate actual salaries with final candidates based on their exact location, experience in similar roles, and expertise related to the qualifications.
This role is not eligible for hire in Colorado, USA.
Position Summary
The DM team within WAM is seeking a highly motivated individual with an interest in – a) joining a new platform that will invest into select Developed Markets, b) being a contributor towards developing the culture, best-practices, and track record from the ground-up of said DM efforts, and c) making a measurable impact to women’s empowerment & equity across various Developed Markets via our investments and involvement with investee companies & their respective ecosystems, whilst delivering market returns to our investors.
As a Sr. Associate, you will work with both the DM and WAM teams across key aspects of the investment process including deal evaluation & diligence, and portfolio management & impact monitoring support.
This is intended to be a long-term career track role and is unique as it offers the right individual the opportunity to be truly involved in several critical aspects

About WWB Asset Management (WAM)
Headquartered in New York City, WAM is a wholly owned subsidiary of WWB, and a mission-driven impact investor seeking market returns.
WAM is dedicated to making investments into fast-growing businesses worldwide that have a clear potential to impact women’s economic empowerment & equity.
WAM currently manages two Emerging Market (EM) private investment funds. Its DM team is a new foray into investing Growth Equity into select Developed Markets.
Responsibilities
- Deal evaluation, diligence and investment underwriting process support
- Screen incoming deal flow & present recommendations during weekly deal flow meeting with conviction
- Lead financial modeling and business analysis processes on applicable deals
- Lead day-to-day investment due diligence processes on applicable deals
- Support senior DM team members across all aspects of the investment underwriting process, post-evaluation & diligence
- Portfolio and impact management & monitoring support
- Support senior DM team members across portfolio management & monitoring activities, incl. being an active participant in investee company management discussions, Board discussions (where applicable), and other investor discussions
- Coordinate with the WAM team to measure & monitor investee company impact across pre-agreed & pre-set metrics
- Coordinate with the WAM team to prepare annual LP and impact reports
- Investment Committee (IC) support
- Support senior members of DM team prep for IC discussions, including preparation & revision of IC memos & related documentation
- Over time, present relevant sections of IC memos and other presentations to the IC with conviction
Required Qualifications
Qualifications
- MBA with 5-7 years of work experience across private equity (VC or Growth or Control) and/or M&A advisory/ investment banking
- In lieu of investment banking/ M&A advisory experience, we will also consider candidates with strategy consulting and private equity investment team experience
- Financial analysis, modeling and business analysis capabilities with an ability to write investment recommendations in a clear & succinct manner
- Strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability with an appreciation & ability for meeting tight deadlines
- Entrepreneurial & resourceful mind-set with long-term thinking. Want to be part of building something meaningful from the ground floor up and have a principal’s mind-set
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability & willingness to work independently
- Able to efficiently (often within short periods of time) digest large amounts of information, identify key issues, and apply strategic and analytical thinking to decision-making with imperfect information
