It is with great pleasure that I announce that Sandy Salama from network member The Lead Foundation (Egypt) has been selected as the first network representative in the Women’s World Banking Fellowship Program. Sandy will join the Women’s World Banking Global Team for two years beginning in July, completing various rotational assignments throughout the organization. Sandy brings extensive field experience to Women’s World Banking after serving as Marketing and Communications Officer and Executive Assistant at The Lead Foundation for six years. Prior to The Lead Foundation Sandy held several different positions at Sanabel, the microfinance network for the MENA region. We are excited to welcome Sandy to the Women’s World Banking team in New York!
I am also thrilled to announce that Liannette Perez, Women’s World Banking’s Compliance Associate, was chosen through a rigorous interview process from 120 qualified candidates for the second Fellowship position. Liannette was the first internal candidate to apply; she joined Women’s World Banking last year, quickly establishing the organization’s first formalized procurement and compliance initiative. We are very proud of Liannette and wish her great success with the program.
