Title: RFQ: Consultant, Communications Associate

Position Summary

Women’s World Banking is seeking a consultant dynamic and resourceful Communications Associate to join our team as a consultant, in supporting our work towards our organizational goal of financial security, prosperity, and empowerment of low-income women through financial inclusion. This role involves managing communications resources, developing compelling content, and effectively utilizing social media platforms to enhance our organization's visibility and impact. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

Roles and Responsibilities

Content Development:

Create and update content for the organization's website, including blog posts, news articles, and resource pages to keep the audience informed and engaged.

Develop relevant marketing materials such as brochures, credentials decks, social media posts, and other promotional content, ensuring up-to-date information from project leads.

Be willing to travel to project sites as needed to capture stories, conduct interviews, and produce visual case studies.

LinkedIn Content Creation:

Curate and create relevant content for LinkedIn pages to enhance visibility and engagement with key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with overall communications strategy.

Communications Resource Management:

Systematically organize and categorize resources such as credentials decks, photos, case studies, reports, project presentations, and illustrations to ensure easy access for team members.

Identify existing photos and videos, categorize them into content buckets, and organize them on cloud storage platforms for streamlined retrieval.

Storytelling and Case Studies:

Collect and compile women's stories and case studies in a standardized format, ensuring consistency and quality.

Work closely with project leads to identify relevant stories and testimonials, ensuring diversity and representation in all communications materials.

Event Management:

Work with project and event management teams and external partners to design and deliver impactful events aligned with organizational goals.

Partner Management:

Collaborate with a range of vendors such as designers, film directors, writers, etc., to produce high-quality communications materials and manage deliverables.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Aptitude for a fast pace, purposeful work environment.
  • Proficient in using cloud storage platforms and content management systems.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to project sites.Experience: 2-3 years of experience in public relations, social media management, or agency roles.
  • Strong organizational and resource management skills.
  • Experience with social media management, particularly LinkedIn.
  • Excellent storytelling and content creation abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute and successfully achieve objectives in a dynamic, challenging environment with aggressive timelines.
  • Prior experience working in India and in the financial sector.
  • Proven collaborative, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in using graphic design tools, video editing software, digital analytical tools is a plus.
