Position Summary

Summary

Women’s World Banking is seeking proposals from agencies or individuals to develop various knowledge products and insights documents. The aim is to advance financial inclusion and gender equality by creating impactful resources for policymakers, financial institutions, and other stakeholders.

 

Roles and Responsibilities

Scope of Work

Create knowledge products such as 20-pager reports, 4-6 pager briefs, or any other formats (digital or print) that will reside on WWB’s website and socialised on digital platforms. Themes of these reports include women’s financial inclusion, credit/lending, digital payments, digital and financial capability building, women’s economic empowerment, women entrepreneurs, etc.

Audience

  • Primary: Policymakers, apex bodies (e.g., SIDBI, NABARD), funders, etc.
  • Secondary: CXOs of financial institutions.

Process:

  • Initial Consultation: Interact with WWB experts to gather insights and establish the structure and format of knowledge products.
  • Content Development: Draft content based on agreed-upon structure, incorporating visuals/format.
  • Review and Input: Seek input from WWB global teams for refinement.
  • Design and Finalization: Transform approved content into visually appealing documents.

WWB will provide rough content, branding guidelines and access to our visual assets and photographs. The agency will need to conduct any secondary sourcing of data/statistics required to strengthen the narrative or proof-points.

Assume photos and relevant Indian or neutral style illustrations and icons will be provided from WWB’s asset library.

Assume 4-5 graphics in all smaller documents and 8-10 graphics in longer ones.

Include the cost of writing, editing, designing, type setting, and converting to print-ready and digital-ready files.

All costs should be inclusive of GST.

How to Apply

Submission Guidelines

Applications must be received no later than April 17, 2024 at midnight (5pm IST).

Please submit your proposal, including but not limited to the following components:

  • Agency/Individual Experience: Provide a detailed overview of your experience in knowledge capture, documentation, and designing knowledge products, particularly in the domains of financial inclusion, livelihoods, and women's economic empowerment.
  • Cost Breakdown: Submit a table-format breakdown of costs for easy comparison. Include costs for writing, editing, designing, typesetting, and conversion to print-ready and digital-ready files.
  • Portfolio of Relevant Work: Present a portfolio showcasing previous work in financial inclusion, livelihoods, and women's economic empowerment. Highlight relevant knowledge products developed.
  • Short Bios: Include short bios of writers, editors, and designers involved in the project, along with relevant examples of their work in similar domains.
  • References: Provide two references from recent assignments (within the last 3 years) similar to this project. References should attest to the quality and timeliness of your work.
  • Timelines: Outline the proposed timeline for the project, breaking down each step from content creation to design to finalization. Clearly indicate milestones and deadlines.
  • Efficiency Strategies: Detail how your agency/individual will bring efficiencies to this assignment, such as streamlined communication processes, efficient project management, or innovative content creation techniques.
