Title: RFQ: Project Manager, India
Classification: Consultant - Full-time
Location and Duration: Mumbai, India
Duration of Consultancy: Period of 12 months (extendable to 24 months)

Roles and Responsibilities

Women’s World Banking is seeking to recruit a Project Manager to work in close co-ordination with CGTMSE and its Member Lending Institutions (MLIs) to help devise and implement improvements in credit guarantee scheme and improve the effectiveness of the overall program with the identified stakeholders.

About the Project

The project aims to facilitate enhanced credit flow to women MSEs, bolster their resilience, promote growth, and empower them economically. This will be achieved through the provision of technical advisory services, in-field support, and capacity-building for key stakeholders

Objectives & Responsibilities

The Project approach would be

(1)To provide technical advisory and institutional capacity building to strategic stakeholders(CGTMSE and its MLIs)

(2)Mobilizing the eco system for action by working with apex institution’s to advocate and influence action

(3)Building evidence and industry dialogue by demonstrating economic empowerment of women enterprises and increase evidence and dialogue on value of credit to women enterprises

 

Required Qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with strong inclination towards development finance with good  understanding of MSME and credit landscape in India who will be responsible for the following

1.The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and managing strategic programs and initiatives focused on enhancing MSME’s access to credit. They would need to collaborate with CGTMSE, Member Lending Institutions(MLIs), government agencies, and other industry players to facilitate enhanced ease of credit access to MSME’s

2. Create and deliver high-quality PowerPoint presentations tailored to senior management and stakeholders

3. Draft comprehensive and clear reports, including market research, client presentations, and project status updates

4. Analyze financial data, credit trends, and market developments to support project recommendations.

5.Build and maintain strong relationships with CGTMSE, MLIs, Industry associations and government bodies

6.Foster partnerships to streamline credit guarantee processes and improve credit access and flow to MSME’s by the MLIs

7.Develop proof of concepts, test efficacy and execute strategic plans and initiatives basis the same to promote credit accessibility, identify market trends and opportunities to improve credit products and services for MSMEs

8.Evaluate processes, identify areas of improvement and co-ordinate for re-engineering of systems and processes with CGTMSE and Financial service providers as applicable

9.Organize training programs and workshops for financial service providers and women empowerment collectives to enhance their understanding and awareness of CGTMSE schemes and processes

10.Enabling the revisions in the schemes and its benefits to be widely disseminated to the Member lending institutions(MLIs), devise and drive campaigns to facilitate the same

11.Play the role of technical advisor/facilitator to help the MLIs leverage the schemes better and reach out to “new to credit” segment

12.Conduct regular evaluations to measure the effectiveness of initiatives and suggest improvements

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s in business or finance or economics or a related field preferably with 7 to 10 years of banking/lending experience
  • Strong knowledge of basic banking, credit risk management, and financial products.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective consultative services to clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in creating visually compelling and impactful PowerPoint presentations.
  • Strong ability to draft detailed, structured, and insightful reports.
  • Strong program planning, management, implementation, presentation and coordination skills
  • Strong ability to inspire and influence key stakeholders to ensure a seamless delivery
  • Willingness to travel to partner and other stakeholder locations across the country
  • Fluency in 2 or more regional languages would be an added advantage

Mandatory: Candidates residing in Mumbai or willing to relocate to Mumbai
