Danida, the term used for Denmark’s development cooperation under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has announced a seven partner consortia to receive a total of DKK 60 million (approximately USD 10.04 million) for partnership projects. The partnerships will contribute to local economic growth, job and income opportunities with a focus on women and girls. Women’s World Banking joins the consortia with Unilever as key business partner to improve women’s financial inclusion in Pakistan.
The Minister for Development Cooperation of Denmark says:
“I am pleased with the wide response to Danida Market Development Partnerships. It shows that we are on a good path to mobilizing companies for the SDGs agenda. I am particularly pleased that this time, I can grant support to partner consortia, who include Danish as well as local small and medium-sized enterprises.”
