Heer Chokshi
Bio
Heer is the Communications and Marketing Sr. Specialist, South Asia at Women’s World Banking and works across projects to amplify our work and build the organization’s reputation in the region. She brings 20+ years of experience in the social impact sector (across public health and nutrition, education, gender equity, financial inclusion, sustainable agriculture, social innovation, etc.) with expertise in integrated communications marketing, social and behavior change communication, capacity strengthening and advocacy.
She previously worked at Edelman, a global PR firm, where she was instrumental in the setup, growth and expansion of the Purpose and Social Impact Practice. She led mandates for bilateral agencies and donor organizations; International and National foundations and consulting firms; Corporate Purpose and CSR programs; social impact innovators and startups; and academia and research institutes.Â
Heer has been associated with various USAID and DFID funded public-health programs with a focus on policy advocacy, capacity and health systems strengthening. With Palladium (formerly Futures Group) and Johns Hopkins University- Centre for Communication Programs, she designed and implemented large-scale behavior change communication campaigns for health financing and public-private-partnerships. Here she also worked with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India; State Health Departments of Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, and Uttar Pradesh; Ministry of Health & Population, Government of Nepal.
