Kamar Jaffer

Kamar Jaffer is a partner at Allen & Overy leading the Middle East funds and asset management practice. She acts for sovereign wealth funds (SWFs), institutional investors, family offices, fund managers and corporates on fund establishment and investment into funds globally across a range of asset classes including private equity, venture capital, technology, infrastructure and real estate. Her funds experience is complemented by her transactional experience on co-investments, cross-border M&A and joint ventures.

Of Tunisian and Pakistani heritage, Kamar has lived in Casablanca, Abidjan and London and Paris before relocating to the Middle East 16 years ago. Through her experiences, Kamar is passionate about promoting women representation in the MENA finance industry. She is a regular commentator to various media, including ‘Women Power Podcast’ with Wafa Alobaidat, and a founding member of Playbook, an exclusive and engaged community of women professionals and entrepreneurs supporting future generations through expert-led masterclasses.
