Qualitative Research Specialist

Bio

Mai Nagabayashi is the Qualitative Research Specialist at Women’s World Banking, where she develops research methodologies and the synthesis and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data for cross-country, customer-focused research. She also supports the CEO’s office on intersectional issues related to women’s financial inclusion. Additionally, at the Women’s World Banking Institute, Mai oversees research interns during their university semesters, mentoring them as they contribute to the team’s projects.

Prior to this role, Mai was the Program Manager with the Women’s Digital Financial Inclusion (WDFI) Advocacy Hub team. The WDFI Advocacy Hub is a collective of global, regional, and local partners that aims to close the gender gap in access to technology, skills, and digital financial services for women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises in emerging markets.

Mai holds an M.A. in International Development, Human Security, and Humanitarian Affairs from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
