Sharada Ramanathan
Bio
Sharada Ramanathan is the Southeast Asia Lead Program Manager, M&E and Donor Relations at Women’s World Banking. She has 14+ years of global program management experience across the private and non-profit sectors. In her last role, she served as Program Lead for the Poverty Probability Index (PPI®) at Innovations for Poverty Action. The PPI is a simple, credible, poverty measurement product built using a machine learning (ML) model that allows organizations to integrate objective poverty data into their reporting, assessments, and decision-making frameworks. In her prior roles at the Grameen Foundation, she oversaw pan-Asia strategic initiatives including developing an earned revenue strategy for the region, identifying opportunities for interventions in new markets, and managing marketing and communication for Grameen Foundation’s India-based subsidiary.
She previously worked at Citibank N.A and Kotak Life Insurance in India.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
